About the artwork

The base of the wall is nearly black-green, with broad leaves and quiet shadow. Out of that darkness rise large white magnolias with pink centers, tall blue delphinium and branches of dark berries, each painted with soft, visible brushwork.

Further back, fan palms and trees dissolve into a pale grey-blue haze. The contrast gives the mural depth: a dark, rich garden in front and a calm, misty distance behind it.
