Dark Moody Wallpaper Ideas

The short version

Balance with light

Dark walls need light to shine. Warm pendant lights, table lamps or candles work better than cool overhead fluorescents. The drama lives in the play of warm light on a dark, textured wall.

Do not fight it with light furniture

Pairing a dark mural with very pale, minimal furniture to balance it often looks unresolved. Lean into it with dark wood, warm metals, and velvet or linen in deep tones. Let the room commit to the mood.

One wall is usually enough
